Monday night for Family Night we spent an hour finishing up our traps. Chad even got in on the fun and used a mouse trap with gold for the bait. We set the traps around the house and off to bed we went.

To our surprise those sneaky leprechauns paid a visit to our house. They left a trail of all the kids green toys throughout the house. At a couple of the doors the kids found some green coins. We think they got scared or something and dropped some of their money. The kids checked all the traps. Some had notes saying "better luck next time," and "nice try"! The kid's traps had been activated and inside their traps they found a clover pin or green bracelets.
To the kids excitement they found 3 leprechaun hats. So, they got close but didn't catch the little guys. Logan and Autumn took their hats to school to show their friends.

Logan's class thought the hat was pretty cool. (A girl in his class caught some gold shoes) His school trap even got voted 1 of the best traps. Him and a girl got to go show a 4th grade class their traps. He thought he was pretty cool.
The leprechauns did change our milk green and helped themselves in our toy room. Since the kids hadn't cleaned up the night before it was already messy. The leprechauns instead turned all the big toys upside down. The chairs, table, tent, etc. you get the idea. This bothered Logan. He said the leprechauns were mean.

For dinner we kept with the green theme. Ham, green jell-o, green beans, lime drink, potatoes, and green ice cream. It was enjoyed by all. We all really enjoyed our little adventurous day. There was so much excitement in the air. Some think I'm crazy, but I love the memories we are making.

Great pictures and what wonderful memories!
I think you are an amazing mom. I love all of your ideas. We were going to do something fun for the 17th but I ended up in meetings that night. Oh well. Next year.
Sounds like a lot of fun. Love their traps :)
